Before mortals walked the land, six Titans shaped the world from primordial chaos. Each embodied a fundamental force of nature, and together they created Zephara as a paradise of balance and harmony.
The Fire Titan
Ignis brought warmth and light to the world, forging the sun and stars. His blessing flows through the Sunborn people, and his shard rests in the Amber Wastes.
The Ice Titan
Glacius shaped the mountains and brought the seasons. His essence strengthened the Dwarrow people, and his shard lies guarded in the Frostpeak Reaches.
The Earth Titan
Terra formed the land itself, raising continents and nurturing life. The Sylvari carry her blessing, and her shard rests beneath the Mother Tree.
The Water Titan
Aqualis filled the oceans and brought rain to the lands. The Tide-Kin are her children, and her shard lies in the depths of the Drowned Temple.
The Storm Titan
Tempestus commanded wind and lightning, breathing life into creation. His wild magic created the Beastkin, and his shard crackles in the Stormspire.
The Shadow Titan
Umbra brought balance through darkness and rest. But corruption twisted him, and he sought to unmake creation. His bound essence stirs in Shadowfen.
The cataclysm that shattered the Titans and saved the world
No one knows what corrupted Umbra. Some say he gazed too long into the void between worlds. Others believe he simply couldn't bear the brightness his siblings created. Whatever the cause, Umbra turned against his family, seeking to unmake everything they had built.
The war that followed scarred the land. Mountains crumbled. Seas boiled. But Umbra was too powerful to defeat. In desperation, the five remaining Titans made the ultimate sacrifice: they shattered themselves, channeling every fragment of their being into binding Umbra.
This was The Sundering. The Titans' essences scattered across the land as Titan Shards—crystallized fragments of divine power. Umbra was bound but not destroyed, imprisoned beneath what would become the corrupted swamps of Shadowfen.

Levels 6-10 • Capital: Solhaven
Scorching desert hiding the ruins of the Sunborn Empire. Ancient temples and powerful fire magic. Ignis's blessing still burns in sacred flames.
Levels 8-12 • Capital: Port Siren
Islands and archipelagos ruled by pirates and merchants. The Crimson Fleet dominates the surface while the Tide-Kin guard secrets beneath the waves.

Dense jungle where nature spirits walk. The Emerald Circle protects the Mother Tree, beneath which Terra's shard pulses with life energy.
Levels 12-20 • Capital: Resistance Base
Corrupted swampland where Umbra's influence spreads. The Prophet's cult rules here. The final battle awaits at the Citadel of Whispers.
